Donovan Bag PDF bag Pattern

The Donovan Bag is a simple-to-construct barrel shaped bag perfect for daily use. It has two side pockets, a zipper top opening, and comfortable straps that go to the bottom of the bag.

Finished Size: 11” x 9½” x 6½”

I kept construction simple so you can add features if you want to, such as bag feet or lining pockets. For me, the simplicity of the original design is most useful.

My bag is made with Sew HungryHippie cork, exclusive to the Hippie Makers Club. 

Michelle Graham's bag (pics 2-6) features Sewhungryhippie Bonded Nylon and seatbelt webbing.

*Binding is optional, and I did not do it. My bag still has structure due to the cork and WRC. There is no interfacing required if you use the materials I do in the tutorial. However if you'd like to add interfacing, go right ahead!

Required Materials:

• 1 roll Sew Hungry Hippie Cork 18” x 54”
• Half Sheet WRC 29” x 36
• *No interfacing required if using the same materials as I do in the video.
• Zipper by the yard: 12” length, (#5 size preferred)
• Fray Check
• 505 Temporary Adhesive Spray or stick
• Double sided sticky tape
• Optional: one package Wright's Extra Wide Double Fold Binding
