Angie Dress sewing pattern XS-3XL

Angie Dress sewing pattern XS-3XL

This is the printed pattern for the Angie Dress - a re-launched version of the 2011-2012 Sisboom Angie Dress. This is one of my favorite patterns, and YES I've made MANY!!! I first made this back in 2014 with a cotton voile and loved it so much. Since then I've done it in linen, quilting cotton, and rayon.

The Angie Dress is an easy-to-customize and easy-to-sew dress with darts on the bodice, (both front and back) so it doesn't hang like a potato sack. The back waist has a smildge of elastic to help snatch the waist in without being uncomfortable.

The LENGTH is up to you! The skirt panels are simple rectangles, and inside this pattern I re-used the excellent graphic Sisboom offered up showing how the different lengths look on different height models.

There is an OPTIONAL sash --which I don't usually use, but it does add an element of elegance if you want to add it. (Instructions are included.)

In this first round of printed pattern you will get all of the sizes from XS-3XL. This is over a pound of printed pattern pieces, so it's hefty!

I will add more photos as I have time to take them - we really wanted to get this out to you since aquiring these patterns over a year ago.

There is one tiny error on printing when putting the pattern pieces together FYI -- very easy to figure out, but I do go over it in this reel. There is a FRONT bodice and a BACK bodice and shaded areas to put them together properly, so watch the video and you'll be fine.

Suggested fabrics:

Cottons, linens, rayon, cotton-poly blends, quilting cotton, voile, etc...

*As always, do a toile of the bodice to check the fit before using your gorgeous fabric! (I use fabric I don't love anymore or a muslin fabric).

I am NOT a trained seamstress, please know if I CAN SEW this dress YOU CAN TOO! I am self-taught and go in knowing it might not be perfect--but it WILL be wearable and it will be pretty.

The video is included in this pattern purchase. The digital download for the Patch Pockets is included in this listing --this is OPTIONAL. I talk about my preference for patch pockets over in-seam in the video.

The traditional In-Seam pocket pattern piece is printed for you in the pattern.
